MR 5.F Last Things

My group and I created an IdeaSketch about the last things in the chapter. We talked about Hell, Heaven, and Christ the King. We said that Heaven is the state of eternal communion with God. Next we talked about how Hell is the state of eternal self-exclusion from communion with God and the blessed in Heaven. Lastly we said that Christ's reign first begins in a person's heart.

MR 5.F Last Things

I worked alone to watch the lecture video and take notes on it. My notes are posted above. Through the video I learned more about these last things. One of the things that particularly stood out to me is that even if we've been bad our whole lives if before we die we are facing God then we get to go to heaven yet if you've been good your whole life but before you die you are facing away from God then you go to hell. Personally, I think you should be judged on the accumulation of your actions through your life or at least the accumulation of actions should outweigh if you are facing God or not when you die.

MR 5.E Analysis Sacraments

https://www.educreations.com/lesson/view/mr-5-e-sacraments/26618175/?s=IiOWgw&ref=app

I made this educreations alone. First I drew all the slides then took my notes outside and started speaking about them. It uses the banquet analogy from earlier in the chapter and connects it to the seven sacraments. It is pretty neat and it had information from me asking in class, the lecture video, and the book. I made the educreations even cooler by color coding the information into red for basic knowledge and then all the other colors were analysis or guides for me to analyze.

MR 5.E Sanctifying Church

My group created an IdeaSketch that explains the 7 sacraments of the church. We explained each and every sacrament and how it relates to the banquet example that Mr. Cole gave to us. The IdeaSketch that we did shows where the sacraments can be found in scripture. It also shows the exact place in the feast that it represents.

Mr 5.f

This is an in depth idea sketch relating topics that are hard to connect. This will help you learn the material and have a better standing on the subject at hand

MR 5.E analysis Apostles and Bishops

http://www.thinglink.com/scene/589493201761468416

I worked alone to make this thinglink about apostles and bishops. I took a picture of the apostles from the Internet and added lots of points on them. I used both information from class, the book, and the lecture video. This isn't just restating the facts because I go in depth to explain why it is important and not just basic facts. Finally, I made it pretty easy to read because it is mostly in chronological order.

MR5.E apostles and magisterium

our idea sketch is about the apostles and magisterium. our idea sketch explains the apostles and magisterium and their roles in the church. we show how the Holy Spirit plays a role in this also. our idea sketch is unique becasue it breaks these terms down to a basic level for all to understand . people should view this becasue it explains the terms in a way for all to understand and this would be a great study guide for the topic.

Mr5.e marks

The apostles hold the office for Jesus. They teach the authority they are given by Christ. He gave his word and it has survived 2000 years with the help of the bishops or the 12 apostles

MR 5.E Magisterium and Apostles

Rory and Intoday created an IdeaSketch that describes the Teaching and Sanctifying Church. It goes into depth about the various points that explains the Teaching and Sanctifying Church. We first go into talking about the visible hierarchy of the Church Christ gave. Next we talked about the 1st evidence provided that the mission wouldn't die and where the 1st Bishops came from. Lastly we explained how the Church gets its authority to teach.

MR 5.D Marks of the Church

My group of three created an IdeaSketch that explains the four marks of the church. First we explain "One" and say how the Church is one with people. Next we explained "Holy" and said how Jesus said the Catholic Church it holy. Next we explained "Catholic" and said that the Catholic Church is the holy church. Lastly we explained "Apostolic" and how the apostles pasted on the line of the church.

Mr 5.d

This is unique by it goes into very much detail about the video. It also ties in many things to one another. And by people viewing this they will gain knowledge and be entertained

MR 5.D 4 marks of the church analysis

The church fathers are insanely important because they are the connection between God and man. They also administer the sacraments through Christ so we can be filled with grace, expelled from sin and eventually join God in heaven. According to the text, and Greek etymology of Catholic means universal. It ties to the four marks of the church since being universal is one of the four marks that the church must have to be the true church. The four marks of the church are 1) one (together, United) 2.) holy(since the church was founded by Christ who is holy) 3.) catholic(which means universal) and 4.) apostolic(apostles administer the sacraments to achieve holiness). Cyprian of Carthage says that "multitude withdraws because it does not wish to obey, yet the Church does not withdraw from Christ." The church therefore is one with Christ since it can't withdraw from Him. It also shows the flaws in humans since we can withdraw from the church at any time. The council of Constantinople I expertly states the 4 marks of the church when they say "I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father, who together with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who spoke through the prophets; in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church." The council includes all 4 that we talked about in class that are explained near the beginning of the paragraph. Finally, Cyril of Jerusalem perfectly states "[The Church] is called catholic, then, because it extends over the whole world, from end to end of the earth, and because it teaches universally and infallibly each and every doctrine which must come to the knowledge of men, concerning things visible and invisible, heavenly and earthly, and because it brings every race of men into subjection to godliness, governors and governed, learned and unlearned, and because it universally treats and heals every class of sins, those committed with the soul and those with the body, and it possesses within itself every conceivable form of virtue, in deeds and in words and in the spiritual gifts of every description." Personally, I feel like this quote perfectly explains everything you need you know about the word Catholic. It even touches up on a couple of ideas I didn't touch on in the beginning like  forgiveness of sin.

Mr 5.b

Through matts mind and my contributions we made this unique diagram of the chapter and the analogy.

MR 5.C Mystical Body of Christ

This is an IdeaSketch that explanes The Mystical Body of Christ with the Banquet example that you provided us. It goes in depth explains the many details that go along with the the mystical body of Christ and the Banquet example. It all comes to together saying that there is no salvation outside of the church.

MR 5.B kingdom of God

I worked with Zach and Carlos to make this ideaketch with a given template. We show how everything is connected using arrows. We used colors to differentiate the sections. It is all connected to the kingdom of God on earth, the church.

MR 5.C Church is necessary to salvation educreations analogy

https://www.educreations.com/lesson/view/analogy-church-is-necessary-for-salvation/26419922/?s=or8LhA&ref=appemail

I worked on this analogy by myself and its a 5 minute video that I think is pretty great. I kind of piggyback on the analogy from the educanon video. I uses my notes to guide me while I was speaking.  It is one of my favorite things to do because you can draw and talk and it's just like one of the educanon videos.

theology notes -

5B Notes on the Kingdom of God
_________________________________
3 main questions-
1.what is gods overall cosmic plan for  man
2.  What is the church( of christ )
3. what is the kingdom of God

The church/Kingdom
-God created man to partake in his divine life
Man rejected it
god sought out man to reconcile him and restore him to what he was created for
the son( Jesus Christ son of God)  brought redemption by his paschal mystery and preached of the kingdom of god
he instituted a New covenant , with a New Covenant in a New passover and New Paschal lamb
Redemption through paschal mystery
The new chosen people , New priesthood in this New covenant he established and called the church , with peter as the rock
He formed the apostles and taught them about the kingdom of God , preparing them for the reception of the Holy Spirit , the Sanctifying grace God created us to participate in
It is the in the church , establish by christ that the Holy Spirit and sanctifying grace is received for our transformation and salvation( begins catholic understanding of church)
old chosen people-  Israelites  - Old priesthood- Levi's
Old testament  -there was  supposed to be a nation of priest's
Priest - the one who offers sacrifice
old testament- each first born male was supposed be the priest of their family
who offer sacrifice of paschal lamp?- jesus and he is the priest
Church means chosen people , gathering of people of god
12 tribes of Old chosen people
God choses 12 Apostles
apostles = new leaders of tribes of chosen people
within Christ's church we get what we need to be part of the chosen people of God

What is God's plan for man?
________________________________________________________________________

Share in his divine life
Inaugurated by creations / salvation history
reached fullness with christ and his church
will be fulfilled. at the end of time
when all who Cooperated with grace are gathered together in the universal Church
1 priest who offers Lamb( himself) is Jesus- jesus is the lamb that was offered - he is the high Priest
How does one cooperated with grace?- you have been freed from the enemies camp, do u choose the good side ( cooperate with grace, god ) or join the enemies side

How does God make it possible for man to participate in the divine life?
_________________________________________________________________________

man has a share in the divine life through
A. the incarnation and the
B. graces of the redemption
EXAMPLE- apostles receive the grace of H.S after " i Believe" - starting point of grace is saying i believe
I believe is a necessary requirement , but it is not the source of grace or means by which we receive it
water saves you now
man has a share in heaven through redemption
cooperate with grace- receiving it from god. Belief and acting out the belief
the 12 apostles form the church of christ. connected to the 12 tribes ( number wise i think)

What is The Church
_______________________________________________________________________

Church is the new assembly of God's people , redeemed by christ , and is the instrument of this redemption .

New assembly of Gods Chosen People
___________________________________________________________________

Ekkleisa ( greek) - those called out
Qahal - Chosen people
successors of the chosen people of the old covenant
the people of god

to jesus the church is the new chosen people , successors of the old covenant.

Instrument of this redemption
____________________________________________________________________________
the role of the church is to bring objective redemption to each subject , to each person
That baptism example again
their job is too bring Gods grace into the world. ( apostles and church)

The kingdom of God
____________________________________________________________________________
Catholics say the kingdom of god is here on earth in the Catholic Church
Christ is the king and he brings about the kingdom of the heavens
What is the kingdom of god ?
 christ
christ acting in the hearts of men
father sent the son so we could be adopted sons of the father

The new kingdom vs old kingdom
- grace sets apart the kingdoms

MR 5.A Ascension ideaketch analysis

I worked on this ideaketch alone and I used everything we learned to analyze he section and the theological significance of Christs ascension. I included how he helped his apostles. I used colors to separate the main ideas and made cool connections to further explain.  It is very neat and easy to read for all readers.

MR 5.A Pentecost thinglink analysis

http://www.thinglink.com/scene/585913792450265091
I worked alone on this thinglink. I chose a picture of Jesus on the cross(paschal mystery) and explained the prompt. What makes it unique is that I put the points in order so if you go up to down you can really grasp the idea. That is also a way it is not just analysis because I put the thoughts and ideas in a coherent order and explain them not just state them.

MR 5.A Analysis on the Pentecost

This IdeaSketch shows the overview of what pentacost is. It shows that Jesus gave his grace to the apostles and let them do with it what he did. Jesus told his apostles to make disciples out of all people and to teach them the word of the Lord. The apostles were also instructed to baptize all disciples to make them followers of Christ.

MR 4.F how our sins are forgiven analysis

This ideaketch was masterfully created by me, Zach phi, and Owen Dailey. It explains who has the authority to forgive sins. Also, it says who the power was passed down to. In addition we talk about ll the ways our sins are forgiven and who has the authority today. We used different colors to signify layers and made it easy to read with lots of connections.

Our video

https://www.educreations.com/lesson/view/resurrection/25774493/?s=yckUT9&ref=app this is a video with the group talking about the importance for jesus' ressurection and why we all needed it

MR 4 Resurrection Analysis

http://www.thinglink.com/scene/582263954173067266
I worked with Zach phi to make a thinglink about Jesus' resurrection and it was an analysis because we went deeper than just stating facts we made connections as well. It is unique because all of our points were in the shape of a cross. Also,  we had 7 points which is a holy number. We chose to make a thinglink because we both liked the app and we're pretty experienced with it so we could make a pretty good one. We both like the idea of getting a picture and writing all about it.

Kreeft's argument

our educreation is about peter kreeft's argument on how the resurrection is real . what makes our educreation unique is how we analyize peter's argument is a way that is easy to understand. people should watch our educreation becasue we explain how the ressurection really did happen. we also explain kreeft's arguemnt and how he is right and how what he says makes since and how it realtes to what the bible says.

MR 4.E analysis Gandalf and Jesus parallels

In this wonderful LOTR scene we see many parallels to christs passion, death, and resurrection. First of all, Gandalf is portrayed as Jesus since he dies for the fellowship of the ring(apostles) after an epic series of confrontations with the balrog(satan). Also he resurrects as Gandalf the White, just as Jesus resurrected. The balrog even looks like the basic satan stereotype would look like(fiery and red). We can see descension into hell during the epic battle descending into the lake from the inner mountain just like Jesus descended into hell.

Purgatory educreation

This education explains the purgatory. this educreation explains the in depth look at the purgatory. this is unique because it explains the purgatory in a way that everyone can understand and uses modern day examples to explain it. people should view this educreation because it explains the purgatory in a way that everyone can understand. this educreation explains the details of purgatory and how people enter it and leave it.

MR 4 Justin martyr apology analysis

In Justin Martyrs apology, his first paragraph talks about going to church and he explains how it is a form of unity between a town or country because people from the city and the country are all together in one place sharing in Gods love praying and giving thanks. Then he goes on to explain the Eucharist. He explains that near the end of mass they eat bread and wine, the body and blood of Christ. He states that only people who believe in Jesus and his resurrection are allowed to take it. You might be asking what happens if someone who doesn't believe in Jesus takes it and the consequence is all on that persons soul, not Jesus and it depends on the intention of the person. Do they know what the Eucharist is? If they do it has worse implications on their soul as if the person doesn't know.

MR 4.C Last Supper

https://www.educreations.com/lesson/view/mr-4-c-activity-analysis/25586795/?s=8wwHZ5&ref=app
We created an educreation that explains the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

MR 4 analysis educreations overview

https://www.educreations.com/lesson/view/redemption/25587013/?s=MTJTxG&ref=appemail
Zach and I worked together to make This educreations which is basically a summary about the chapter so far.
I did all the speaking and drawing with Zach guiding me and coming up with the format for our ideas.

Last supper

This is important because it explains the last supper. This blog post explains the details of the last supper and how it relates to other concepts from the chapter. People should look at this because it is a very in depth look at the last supper and explains it well. This is unique because it not only explains the last supper but also goes into depth about it and how it relates to other topics. This is a very good in depth explanation of this topic.

Transcendence

if I witnessed the transfiguration I would be so honored to see and hear the event. And to meet the three living people that got to witness Jesus' resurrection. Also it would be amazing to meet Elijah and Moses. In addition I would be awestricken to witness Jesus revealing himself as the messiah and basically seeing God. Not many people can say they saw God when they were alive. Personally though I would probably be way too freaked out and I would leave.

100 word exit ticket on transfiguration

if i were  a apostle there at the transfiguration i would be in awe. i would have been a follower of god but i would have had my moments of doubt about jesus and my religion. after witnessing a experience like that though would have definitley changed my views. i would probaly now have been in awe but i would have a lot more faith and my moments of doubt would not be there anymore.

MR 4 If I were an apostle at the transfiguration analysis

First of all, if I were at the transfiguration I would be so honored to be one of three living people to be able to witness Jesus' resurrection. Also it would be amazing to meet Elijah and Moses even though they are dead. In addition I would be awestricken to witness Jesus revealing himself as the messiah and basically seeing God. Not many people can say they saw God when they were alive. Personally though I would probably be way too freaked out and I would leave.

If I was an apostle at the Transfiguration

If I was one of the apostles at the transfiguration my thoughts and emotions would be effected greatly just like Peter, James, and John. I would have seen the white garment that Jesus would have worn that showed his divinity. I would not know what wa happening at first because of the bright light that manifested his divine nature. Also being one of the three apostles to only be at the transfiguration would have been amazing in itself. Seeing Jesus in his glorified state would have been a confusing sight at first but after learning what it was would have been an amazing experience.

In this thinglink I worked with Zach  and Ethan and they researched and I wrote everything down and chose the picture of the 5 people present during Jesus' transfiguration. This is very important because it is Jesus finally revealing himself as the messiah and has many references and connections to other stories in the bible.

MR 4.B Defeating the Prince of Darkness analysis

The main words that stand out to me are God and Jesus which are one and the same except Jesus is God in his human form. This doesn't surprise me that they are stated the most since they are our only God and the bible is about them. Devil as also very used which doesn't surprise me because in these stories the devil is almost constantly tempting Jesus. Finally, bread stands out to me because it is right before lunch and I am hungry, it is also fairly big.

"MR 4.B Defeating the Prince of Darkness"

What stands out to me what reflecting on this photo is that if you are with God and worship him you will be safe in the kingdom of God. If you are alone you will be tempted by the devil. That is why you should stay with God because you will be saved in him. With god all things are possible. You will never be alone with God.

MR 4.B Defeating the Prince of Darkness".

My thoughts,  God is more powerful than the devil. He doesn't not offer everything, but gives everything

"MR 4.A Mid Level Activity"

What makes our analysis of the Wedding at Cana and the Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan is that we included great information. What we included is that the Baptism marks the beginning of Jesus's mission. We also included how the wedding at Cana and the crucifixion connect with one another. The crucifixion marks the end of Jesus's mission as the wedding of Cana marks the beginning of his mission.

MR 4.A Significance of The Baptism of Jesus analysis

I worked with Chris, Daniel, and Mathew to make this idea sketch. It is unique because of the colors we used that helps the reader organize the ideas. Also, the layout and our connections make it doubly easier to read and organize. What makes it the best though is the content since we worked hard to include as much info as we could in limited time and to the best of our knowledge.

My idea sketch with zach and Carlos

Mine is more blurry than every body else's. It tells more about Jesus and his life than the bible does!!!

MR 4.A Mid Level Activity

we explained the wedding at cana. jesus turned water into wine because they were out of wine at the church. this was his first act of revealing himself as the son of god. jesus was told to do this by mary. his deciples now had more faith in him. our idea sketch is unique becasue we used many different shapes each explaining a importanat aspect if this topic. one should look at this becasue one could learn a lot about the wedding at cana by looking at this. it makes it worthwhile becasue one will gain knowledge.

Lack of doing homework

I did not remember to do the video. Was up late working for other classes and forgot to watch the videos

Lack of doing Homework

I didn't watch the video because I forgot about it after the mother son luncheon. I will make sure to remember to do my homework next time.
